The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated investigations into a corruption case related to teacher recruitment. The ED conducted searches at 9 locations in Kolkata, including the residences and offices of individuals involved.
Among them, the house and office of a Chartered Accountant in Maniktala and an office in the bustling Burrabazar market were thoroughly searched. ED team reached CA office in Canning Street and Dalhousie, Kolkata, also raided the flat located in Manikala Apartment of Maniktalla Kakurgachi, a large number of CRPF jawans were also present.
Notably, the ED is scrutinizing the possibility of money laundering through two individuals, Subodh Sachar and Ashok Yaduka, and their flats in Maniktalla were part of the intensive search operation.
The agency is set to interrogate the director as part of its ongoing efforts to unravel the alleged financial irregularities.
